Liebig (1803-1873) a leading figure in chemistry, made fundamental contributions in chemistry (organic chemistry), and its application to the fields of pharmacology, agriculture, and sanitation, etc. In 1840 he was awarded the Royal Society Copley Medal. The present work is a collection of seventeen papers originally published between 1838 and 1871. Includes three papers by Liebig on Francis Bacon.
