"Hidden under the gilt, and visible only when the pages are fanned out, are TWO outstanding and very finely detailed FORE-EDGE PAINTINGS, one on the first half of the book, being a painting of a SHIPWRECK from Tennyson's poem, "Enoch Arden". . . and the one on the second half of the book depicting knights, and KING ARTHUR'S CAMELOT."
